Leicht + Le Corbusier

“COLOR IN ARCHITECTURE – A MEANS AS POWERFUL AS THE GROUND PLAN AND THE SECTION. OR BETTER: POLYCHROMY, A COMPONENT OF THE GROUND PLAN AND THE SECTION ITSELF.”
-Le Corbusier

For Le Corbusier colors had a room shaping effect. Color, he felt, was a way of only allowing exactly what you wanted to show to appear in the conscious, regardless of whether that was a house, an interior or an object. Particularly blue tones were seen by the architect as creating airy space. He referred to earthy tones such as ‘Umbra’ as shadow colors, ideally suited as background colors, and to red ochre shades as fixing presence and standing out.

LEICHT is the first kitchen manufacturer to have been given the exclusive privilege to choose 15 expressive and powerful nuances from Le Corbusier‘s color system: the colors correspond to the natural color spectrum and can be combined harmoniously. The perfect kitchen in 15 Les Couleurs® Le Corbusier colors. This range of colors is available with matte and high-gloss lacquer ranges as well as surrounding materials through to handles and grip-rails – everything in line with holistic and harmonious kitchen planning down to the very last detail.
