Five Yard House

The Five Yard kitchen project showcases a serene palette and refined materiality that seamlessly ties the interior to its lush outdoor counterpart. Cabinetry in frosty white matte lacquer and textured stone oak brings a calm, composed aesthetic, while white appliances and counters enhance the sense of simplicity and openness. Textured Stone Oak Cabinetry

The kitchen exudes a sense of calm sophistication through its clean lines, minimalist aesthetic, and harmonious material palette. Frosty white matte lacquer cabinetry pairs seamlessly with textured stone oak, creating a balanced contrast between smooth and tactile surfaces. The expansive white island, topped with pristine countertops, features an integrated sink and a high-arching spout, offering a sleek and functional workspace. Across from the island, full-height oak cabinetry and open shelving provide both concealed storage and curated display space.

Tranquil White Kitchen

This striking evening view captures the kitchen seamlessly integrated with its surrounding landscape through expansive floor-to-ceiling glass walls. The interior palette is calm and sophisticated, featuring frosty white matte lacquer cabinetry paired with textured stone oak finishes. A sleek, white island with minimalist lines and integrated appliances anchors the space, accompanied by three understated white bar stools. Suspended above the island, a trio of elegant pendant lights casts a warm, inviting glow that highlights the kitchen’s clean geometry.

The kitchen opens visually to a lush courtyard, where native plantings and a reflective water feature add depth and tranquility. Vertical lines on the exterior wall cladding complement the kitchen’s linear design, while the soft evening light enhances the sense of connection between indoor and outdoor spaces. The overall composition reflects a balanced blend of modern minimalism and natural serenity.

Client Vision
The clients purchased this central Austin bungalow with the desire to be in a more walkable area, so they could enjoy their retired years cooking, painting, entertaining and relaxing. The house shares a central, artfully landscaped courtyard where the kitchen becomes an integral part of nature. After the initial kitchen showroom visit, the clients fell in love with some of the unique specialty cabinets from Leicht. They selected frosty white cabinets, with motorized bi-fold uppers, full-height pull-out pantry, and a custom small appliance cabinet with pull-out shelves. Additionally, they selected oak drawer accessories and interior drawer lights for ultimate comfort. To accentuate the tall ceilings, we used vertical grain wood to the ceiling and recessed the top panels to balance the volume.
