Modern Kitchen

The Lean on Me House kitchen effortlessly combines natural stone and modern design. Featuring carbon gray matte lacquer cabinets and Wild Oak veneer accents, this space embraces the charm of mid-century modern aesthetics. The open kitchen layout enhances the flow of the home, allowing the design to shine in its entirety, while the use of natural stone ties the interior seamlessly with the environment.

The designers played with several different materials and color options, ultimately knowing the entire kitchen would be a dark solid color with light wood accents.

Modern Wine Storage Integration

The wine unit—a wine connoisseur's dream, is built directly into the appliance wall. Not until the initial site visit and measurements did the designers discover there would be additional space on the appliance wall to incorporate the tall open wood shelf and column wine unit. Grabbing the opportunity, this innovative feature was added, integrating smoothly into the overall kitchen design.

Client Vision
The young homeowners selected North Arrow Studio to build a new construction on a very steep lot, which forged a playful, tiered structure of steel landing on natural stone. The Lean On Me house, a mid-century design, needed an architecturally appropriate interior to match its exterior. The homeowners wanted to create a functional space, both mid-century and modern, to match the uniqueness of the architecture. Through this vision, the natural stone kitchen was born.
